The billing book is where the money leaks
Dental billing in most Indian clinics is a receipt book, a UPI transfer to a personal number, and an Excel sheet assembled at the end of the month so the GST filing has something to work from.
Two things go wrong, quietly and constantly. Work gets done and never billed, because the person who did it was not the person who writes the bills. And payment gets deferred to "next visit", which for a meaningful share of patients means never.
Neither shows up as a problem. They show up as a number that is lower than it should be, with no way to find out why.
The bill is part of the visit, not a separate job
Because the bill is raised against the same patient record as the appointment and the note, it is generated from work that was actually recorded — not reconstructed later from memory.
Invoices come out GST-ready. This is the specific thing dental software built for the US or European market cannot do, and the reason most of it is unusable in an Indian clinic regardless of how good the rest of it is.
Payment happens where the patient still is: a UPI QR at the chair, or a Razorpay link if they would rather pay by card or netbanking. The invoice goes to them on WhatsApp.

- Does EnamDoc take a commission on my treatment billing?
- No. There is no commission on treatment billing. The Pro subscription is the cost — ₹750 per month, or ₹6,000 per year.
- Are the invoices GST compliant?
- Invoices are generated GST-ready with your clinic’s billing profile. You should still have your accountant review the setup once when you configure it, as you would with any billing system.
- How do patients pay?
- By UPI on a QR shown at the chair, or online through Razorpay, which covers cards, netbanking and UPI. Cash payments can also be recorded against the invoice.
- Can I send the bill to the patient?
- Yes — invoices can be sent to the patient on WhatsApp.
- Does this replace my accounting software?
- No, and it does not try to. EnamDoc handles clinical billing and payment collection. Your accountant’s ledger stays where it is. An accounting integration is on the roadmap but is not available today.
